Flyreel⁠, a software development company looking to attract an older generation of users, hired us to write and produce “the simplest demonstration video ever.” The video needed to be no longer than thirty seconds and, because the app was under development at the time of production, could feature no real shots of the user interface. We applied his training in plain language to write the screenplay, and production took place in one afternoon with a skeleton crew.
